Lapland Mother and child home

The services of the Lapland Mother and child home are preventive and corrective child welfare work, the aim of which is to create a good foundation for parents and children to live together from an early age.

The purpose of the services is to strengthen the relationship between child and parent, support mothers and fathers in their growth into parenthood and good interaction with their child. In addition, professional help is offered to adults and children who need psychosocial support.

The services of the Lapland Mother and child always require a payment commitment from your own welfare area or other sending party. Please contact your own social or health care authority.

We offer the following services:

  • Professional support and help 24/7 for parents and families expecting a child, i.e. first home activities that require baby work.
  • Rehabilitation of pregnant women and families with children with substance abuse problems as a primary home activity, i.e. Hold on® – the primary home work of the care model
  • Meeting place activities, i.e. supported meeting, supervised meeting and supervised exchange: a supported or supervised meeting enables contact between the child and the visiting parent when it is not otherwise possible for safety reasons.
  • Enhanced family work: professional, long-term and intensive help, support, guidance and advice provided at home to families with children.
  • Professionally supported family rehabilitation at the client’s home
