Child-oriented substance abuse rehabilitation
Pregnancy and the birth of a baby is a very special opportunity for a parent to change their life and build substance-free parenting with adequate support. In Tuulia, the starting point of support is the parent’s own needs and goals. Personal tutors support the family throughout the rehabilitation. We can meet in Tuulia or visit the family home.
In Tuulia, there is an opportunity to meet others in a similar life situation. We have a weekly community day, during which we offer lunch and daytime coffees. During the community day, children have the opportunity to take a nap and adults have their own peer discussion group. With us, you can also meet experienced and peer actors who have undergone training, who bring a valuable addition to the professional support.
We are also happy to listen to families’ wishes, so sometimes we organize, for example, a trip to the loggia, we go to a cafe with a group or we paint with the toddlers with finger paints. Once a month you have the opportunity to meet Tuulia’s past and present families in our own family cafe.

Detective and low-threshold work in Tuulia
The goal is to lower the threshold for seeking help when intoxicants interfere with the lives of pregnant women or families with small children.
It may be that you don’t use drugs yourself, but the harms caused by the use of drugs by loved ones experienced in childhood come to the surface now that you are a parent yourself. Maybe your spouse’s use of substances makes you think, or you can’t stop abusing drugs, even though you know it’s harmful to the baby. Or maybe you haven’t told anyone yet that drugs have become a problem for you. Whatever your situation is, in Tuulia we can think together about what would help you best so that your family and child would be safe.
You can call or send us a message with a low threshold. We can arrange a meeting, remote meeting or call time. Meetings are free of charge and if you wish, you can do business anonymously.
We also try to lower the threshold for professionals to contact and direct them to the support circle. If requested, we can come along to the customer meeting. We also have the opportunity to go to family clubs, baby cafes or meeting places for people who use substances.
We will be happy to tell professionals who encounter pregnant women and families with babies about the possibilities of baby-oriented substance abuse rehabilitation.

Groups for parenting support
Hoivaa ja leiki – remote group
We organize Hoivaa and Leiki remote groups for expectant mothers once a year. In the group, we get to know the baby through care, singing and touch. Positive experiences with a stomach baby support the development of a good interaction relationship and a secure attachment relationship after the baby is born. Come along to discuss issues related to pregnancy and parenting and do various playful feel-good exercises. The group meets four times and is free of charge. The time of the next group will be specified later.
